Heather Fignar

"I believe that the best untold story about America is the culture of philanthropy - how generous individual Americans are."

 

Heather, a managing partner, joined NPA in 2004. She "was pushed" into online marketing in 1997 and never looked back. Heather wants nonprofits to raise more money, more efficiently because their donors feel passionate about the mission.

 

That desire drives her as she works with clients to formulate internet strategic plans, performs audits on current websites, and develops email communications and integrated marketing ideas. Heather has worked extensively on integration of the web with brand, mission and donor communications, including direct response television and direct mail.

 

She is just as passionate about using good data to make good business decisions, and has a habit of asking a whole lot of questions. To Heather, the technology, tracking and statistics are fun only when they help nonprofits make better decisions and raise more money.

 

Prior to her work with NPA, she spent time as Interactive Communications Manager for Christian Children's Fund, growing their online program, managing and implementing 2 CMS-based site rebuilds, managing the build of a global extranet, testing acquisition methods, and developing email newsletters and campaigns.

 

Heather holds an MPA - Nonprofit Management from Virginia Commonwealth University. She is a proud alum of Houghton College where she completed her BA. She serves as board member for Hanover Habitat for Humanity and loves to travel.
